To make a long story short,I left my husband last January because he has a drinking problem. He told me I had to leave the house because he couldn't get sober with me in the house with him. (I was leaving him anyway because it wasn't fair to our girls anymore.) Anway,he met another girl and they are having a baby in a couple of months.(I guess he didn't care about having a family with me) He was paying me $100 weekly but he stopped that 2 months ago. He lives in Ga and I live with my parents in Va now. He had all the house stuff shipped here in Va because the Military would only ship it here to his hometown.(of coarse he kept the cars, the big tv,computer, cameras, all the good stuff) Now he wont tell me where the storage space is and is saying "what did you do with it,did you sell it?" It is like he is trying to frame me. I would love to go and get my stuff but I can't because he is saying I sold it.I don't have a lawyer because I can't afford it.What can I do?

I know this is hard. Specially for the girls. But can I ask you something? Is the stuff really that important to you? I mean,,do you have like the baby photos and sentimental stuff?,,If you have those things, then my advice is to forget the rest and focus on yourself and the girls. Let him keep it, you will have better things. Karma will play it's role sooner or later. I think you have been going through enough pain to keep his involvement in your life due to this things. Let it go. U will be ok. good luck (this is just my opinion)

There are attorney's that will talk to you the first time for free. Then you can make some decisions. At least you need to get support from him and I don't know as you need a lawyer for that. Check with your local Family Court.

The military will undoubtedly be on your side in this. They won't like a dad not supporting his children. And I don't think he picked anyone over you. He chose drinking. You are probably well out of it.

Why haven't you divorced him yet? You messed up worse than he did by handling the situation like this.

By this point you are going to need to get an attorney to get anything out of him that you can.

You do know that as long as you are married to him, all his debts are your debts and vice verse? Step one is to file for a divorce!

Try a law schools near you. See if they have any legal aid programs that can help you.

I cannot stress enough that you need to find a way to get an attorney any way you can. Do you really want to be stuck with the medical bills for his child with this woman?

Start making better decisions for yourself and your children.

If your husband was in the military and the military moved the stuff then you should go to the nearest base and look for TMO (at least that's what it's called for the Navy and Marines). It's basically the office that handles all moving issues. If your stuff was shipped in using them they they have it stored somewhere waiting for an address to drop it off at. I hope this helps.

Take him to court for child support. Also, if you get a divorce, all of the items that were between the two of you will get sorted out.
