i have a bunch of very dirty and very expensive stuffed animals... a sing adn snore ernie, one of those teddy bears with the fiber optic lights, another bear that makes twilight noises... i was thinking about putting them in my dryer on the lowest setting with a couple wet towels to see if they come out any cleaner... do you think this would work or just do more harm?

You should wash them by hand with a mild soap and not very much water. Rinse them in a way so that the water drains away from the stuffed animal not into it

I watched a cleaning show where they showed the most effective method to clean stuffed animals. Use a mild handsoap like Dove, and with a bowl of warm water a cloth, just wash away. Try to not get the stuffed animal to wet. Then dry nice and fluffy with a towel when done. They looked brand new when she was done. However, chances are you will not remove the dog odor this way. Go to your local pet store and get Nature's Miracle. It's an enzyme that will remove ANY order. Use that after you washed them, and you'll never know there was a boo-boo done to them. Believe me you will always keep that Nature's Miracle on hand with animals, kid, etc. around. Good luck with all!

If there are no electronic devices in them wash them in the wash machine gentle cycle with Woolite, air dry,, Or soak in the sink with Woolite, put in the spin cycle to remove the water and air dry, when they are almost dry toss them in the dryer on a low setting with a dryer sheet to fluff them and also use a pet brush to fluff the nap as well,, If you can remove the devices from the ones that have, go ahead and do so, just pin it shut so all the stuffing doesn't fall out during washing, can place them in a lingerie bag for good measure, when dry replace device and sew them back up... OR you could spray them with Woolite upholstery cleaner, rub them with a sponge real good, when dry vacuum and brush the nap.. good luck

Any moving, electronic, fiber optic, etc.. gadgets in or on, then do not put in washer nor the dryer. Vacuum with the small brush attachment. The 'dirt' may have to be cleaned with the dry hair wash. You have have better luck finding that in a pet store. Wash hair product without using water.

You can try putting them in a pillow case and washing them like normal in a washer on a low setting ( I heard that works well). To dry also, I heard that using a dehumidifier works if you set them by it, or you can try drying in a dryer on a low setting.

If there are electronics...erm, is there a little openingn where you can remove them? Some have that, but if not I don't know what a washer will do...

Yeah, listen to NakedHike, BK. Hand wash with a mild detergent. You can also get various products to remove dog smells at Pet$mart.

In the meantime, get a crate for the puppy, if you haven't done that already! Prevention is the key to housetraining. I've been training dogs for, well, for a very long time, and I know whereof I speak!
