A "vast" majority of Americans consider this issue yesterday's news in that is three decades old and settled.

Comparing abortion to slavery is foolish and is just plain irresponsible to say the least.

No, because that will be infringing on privacy, which is what Roe v. Wade was all about. Not abortion, but privacy.

Yes and I hope this supposed "right" is removed soon. Abortion is not a right it is a political correct way of allowing women get rid of the personal consequences to their own actions.

I am a firm believer in freedom of choice. That choice begins and ends when a woman chooses to have intercourse. After she makes that choice the consequences are on her. If she does not want to become pregnant then she should not have unprotected sex or even better idea, don't have sex at all. That is the choice.

Just because people allow something to go on and on for years does not make it right. Look at slavery. It was allowed in this country for over 100 years, that still did not make it right.

Abortion IS slavery all over again bedcause we are assigning a group of people as property all over again.

I hope they are but Im not sure they will be because I think this society is going downhill starting with our supreme court and people who think they are the elite of society.

Our rights as stated in the declaration come from our creator. And if you read the Bible, youll discover that it is GOD that owns human life, not us. We do not have the right to assign it value or more importantly to devalue sections of the population. Murder isnt a "right" its a sin.

don't you mean,,,3 decades old and STILL NOT settled?
The abortion debate still rages on. I am a woman and I am pro-abortion because of the fact that it IS a womans's right to decide about the unborn baby inside her when conseption went 'amiss'.
We don't want to ravage our bodies because someone sexually ravaged us,,,we don't want to burden ourselves with raising a child with mental retardation or other severe problems,,,there are many instances in which is not OK to have an abortion,,,but those are 2 reasons that are good,,,,,good for the mother,,and good for society. Plain and simple.

They already have been. Even though technically legal, they are not often available to those who are most in need of them.

I the first case harassment and murder have closed down many, so that in Mississippi, Alabama, and the Dakotas there is only one part time location, and the doctors have to commute hundreds of miles, to help those rich or desperate enough (or both) to face the political horrors.

Others have been forced into the old ways of maimed and butchered women, or when the botched abortion is not successful, or heavy drug use is involved (or both) the resulting child is forced into existence in a life of torture often compounded by neglect, only to be further neglected by the Prissy Hypocrites that forced their existence in the first place.

Any sane rationally thinking person knows that taking away the right to abortion will not stop abortion. Only a monster would want a return to the days of old regarding abortion. I understand being personally against it, but fail to see how the actions of one woman abortion her fetus personally affects them to the point where they would want a return to the barbaric days before Roe vs. Wade.

If Roe v Wade isn't overturned, then it's time to stand up for MEN'S reproductive rights !

If we have no say in whether or not a woman has an abortion, then they should have no say in whether we have to become cash donors / financial terrorism victims for a woman's choice !

FAIR IS FAIR !!!!

Some of the nutty members of the Religious Right, the nameless, faceless, boundryless organization that has hijacked my Republican political party, might think so. Otherwise, I have many Republican friends, and I don't think any of us actually believe abortion will, or should, go away. Frnakly, I'm kinda tired of being stereotyped by non-stereotyping Democrats who think all Republicans are pro-life.

Of course not! Abortion rights will only be taken away from underage women who have been gang raped and can't afford to pay for an abortion out of state or maybe out of country. Abortion rights will only be allowed to the rich folks who can afford to send their young daughters 'away' when they make an unwise decidsion and get 'preggy'. You can take this to the bank , unwanted pregnancies will not be tolerated by the wealthy of the United States.
thanks
