We've decided on Lacey Elizabeth or Austin Alexander. Austin isn't my favorite name ever, but it's the best one we've agreed on so far, do the 2 A's sound okay together?

I don't like Alexander enough for a first name, it's a family name so I want to use it. My son's name is Christian, that's my favorite name, but my hubby does not like ANYTHING. I've suggested every boy name under the sun that I like, but Austin is a nice name.

Austin isn't my favourite name either, and the two A's don't go together very well either. Austin Alexander just doesn't flow.
I like the name Dustin though. Dustin Alexander is nice, or maybe Jayden Alexander?
I love Lacey Elizabeth BTW, and good luck on finding the perfect boy name.

Emma Alexander sounds cute for a girl, just a thought =) Otherwise out of the two I like Austin for a boy... not Lacey....

The As in Austin Alexander don't make the same sound, so I think it's fine (if YOU actually like it ... you sound unsure). ;)
Personal feelings on Lacey aside (very risque, I'm afraid), it seems rather redundant with Elizabeth, since it can be a nickname for it. Not one I'd generally recommend, but it's certainly not unheard of, and is even more obvious with the Elisabeth spelling. Perhaps you'd consider using Elizabeth/Elisabeth as the first name, with a different middle name, and reserve "Lacey" for a nickname? Avoids the redundancy and gives her more mature, versatile options as she ages as well. ;) Just a thought!

Austin Alexander sounds all right.
But I have to ask... Lacey? Are you not worried about stripper potential in a name like that?

I like both of them, I have a daughter Lacie Mae Charlotte and she is beautiful, I like Austin too, My son has a friend named Austin and he gets called 'Austy' right now, He is 11. In most states, you have a certain amount of time to change your mind on the name, check with the nurses at the hospital. They should know.

The 2 As are fine. Keep going until you can both say "I love this name" instead of "isn't my favorite"...the kid is stuck with it the rest of his/her life...you may as well love the name.
