ANY phone wire will work for the inbound port. So just use one you have around! Just don't try a 25' extension :)

If you need a really LONG extension get one made using Cat5 cable, it will work better. Up to 10-15 feet shouldn't cause any issue at all. Try to not cross any AC lines etc. along the way since flat cable is subject to picking up noise.

Are all your phones that share that telephone line filtered? They have to be or- NO SYNC!
