Example- the Ravens pass rush had Brady in fits all night long. When teams blitz, Brady is not effective. the '85 Bears brought the heat like no team ever has or will again - Brady would be eatin' turf/dirt/whatever all night long - they were AWESOME. Also, the Patriots can't stop the run. The '85 Bears would've run the ball down their throats. And, as a matter of fact, there are several mathematical formulas that show that the '85 Bears are a better team - the greatest of all-time. Here's a good one - points scored raised to 2.37, divided by points scored raised to 2.37, plus points allowed raised to 2.37. The '85 Bears received a .87837, while the Patriots received (if the season ends now, and their stats are projected for a 16 game season) a .87118. For reference sakes, the '72 Dolphins received a .87309, which is also better than the Patriots. The fact of the matter is this - The Patriots are a great team, but not the best ever - especially when considering the fact that they haven't even won a playoff game yet, let alone the SuperBowl. And one more thing - The '85 Bears played a monstrous schedule - one of the hardest ever, which only adds to their greatness.

SCORE- Bears 28- Pats- 20 WHY?...
None would argue the 85 Bears were the most dominant defensive team ever- look at the 95-10 playoff point domination.
The achilles heal that Buddy Ryan would exploit- and no disrespect to the genius that Belicheck clearly is- but, it would be the Pats glaring lack of ground game displayed in 07. This would allow the hall of fame linebacking crew- singletary, marshall, wilson, in addition to all hall of fame line-mdmichael, dent and hampton- to roam free unabated on continual, relentless barages of blitzes on Brady. They would have nothing to respect NOT TO...in the form of a ground game. To those who bring up the 85 dolphins offense showing some vulnerability, I would have to say even great teams have a bad day.....and don't get me wrong- this Pats team clearly is one of the all time greats....but by comparison I would bring up the pathectic eagles and thier defense to date. The Dolhpins were one of the all time great offenses, Marino, Clayton, Duper- in their PRIME.....I don't think too many would argue that the 07 Ealges defense would come close to the "other side of the ball" comparison....and as great as moss is- he was in absentia against the inspired Eagles that night- likely due to the fear of the big hit....that would be ever present agains that Bears team. He would be gone. Frazer and Fencik would ensure the alligator arms would be present. End result- Brady would not be sitting back there like he has most of this season against a depleted NFL for 2007 in general. Remember,....the Bears of 85 were still facing the likes of Marino, Elway, Montana, and RB like Roger Craig and Eric Dickerson. In addition0 they scored 21 on the 85 Giants defense- one of the top 20 defenses of all time. Remember they had a fairly famous linebacking crew themselves,...probably a bit better than what the Pats could offer now....LT???? ring a bell. Bottom line-Brady would be throwing off his heals, and reacting rather than creating and dictating the pace of the game. He would get lucky enough times for 2 TD's nad 2 FG's. Further- the 07' pats are now already only 20 points from the Bears playoff and regular season totals for points allowed. Thus- presume they will end up offering thier average of 16ppg to the superbowl, and thereby end up 64 plus 48 or 112-20= 92 ppg allowed more than the 85 Bears. And the small factor of Walter Peyton- who would have his way for 120 yardswould spell the demise of the Pats....keep in mind...their passing game involved the all time 5th greatest TD completion and percentage leader in NCAA history.
Bottom line- Bears offense= 4 TD's......1 Defensive....1 from posession inside the 50, 1 sustained drive, and one running out the clock trying to end the game- Bears win- like many superbowls....without much doubt.

Bears 24-14 that defense was too good they could cover all over the feild and a 4 man rush to get to Brady, they stop the run...and on Offense Walter could run wild ,then play action to recvs just as fast as Moss Gault...Bears were ALOT more phsyical and faster....the safties would be the key ,HUGE hitters that can run,cover......i think they would take NewENg bread-butter away the short over the middle route (with linebackers singletary,Wilson ) 85 bears team a top 5 team all-time this Pats team maybe top 15 but not top 10.....NCSU thinks cuz a team is 11-0 are the best all-time????? not even close the 91' Redskins would beat this Pats team 54-21...this Pats teams talent is Brady throwing hail marys to Moss...how many probowlers on this team(before this yr) 4 guys....the Lions have 14 guys on the roster that have been to pro-bowl...Talent not really...they have a GREAT WR and A GREAT QB,...and a GREAT system..talent...not even close...5 teams more talented today(Indy,GBay,Dallas,No and Pittsburgh all have WAY more talented guys),,new eng has a VERY good team and GREAT coaching and depth...but talent NO WAY

is this all and sundry have the psychological means to debate? Come on, this became the main blown out incident in activities background. a good number of retired coaches even admitted to doing this (consisting of John Madden on Sunday night footbal). He even went further to assert this wasn't even "cheating", he relatively did not even see the fee of this filming. cheating might could bring about some unfair aggressive earnings. What earnings would desire to they have probable obtained? With that reported. i don't understand which team is larger. Why do not we've the 07 Patriots play the 80 5 Bears (The Bears may even try this stupid superbowl shuffle lower back) and we are going to see who's greater effective. greater effective yet. Who cares which ones is larger? you won't be able to assessment communities from distinctive era's of the sport. each coach interior the league might sell his mom for yet another part against each team. do not youngster yourselves. Texas, do not youngster your self. they have ALL constantly performed for the funds. they won't have been making the comparable funds gamers do now, despite the fact that that's regularly been with reference to the funds.

2007 Pats would win. Although the 85 bears defense were great, the Pats have too many weapons on offense. Also the Pats defense would allow the dink and dunks of the 85 Bears offense, but will not bend in the red zone forcing either turnovers or FG.

21-9 Pats

with today's NFL rules...the Pats are the best team I've ever seen. Yes, in the old days there WOULD be a bounty on Brady's legs and the Steelers would have broken him already. the '85 Bears Richard Dent would also have gotten to him...
