No... sometimes you have to leave some habits behind for your own good, and in that case it's a gain in the positive direction. And other times, you have to quit some things in order to leave room for new experiences.

I don't know it works both ways. Is somebody that doesn't want to be in a relationship a failure? We have all been there where we need a break from something whether it be Yahoo answers or the bar scene. You wouldn't believe the responses I got after I quit drinking and smoking, people refused to accept that I could live like this. Now if it becomes terminal such as suicide or inflicting pain on others with your actions the end result then is disturbing to say the least. I think sometimes we shouldn't associate failure with a decision. Maybe the options were much different for the person in question.

I Never associate Quitting with Failure. If I've decided to Quit a bad Habit, ok it's For a good Reason. And if I decide To go back to it, So be it, I can always Quit again When ready.

When I've Quit something/one I'm Passionate about, thus far it has Never been Forever. Paths keep Crossing in the Best of Ways. My writing, radio experience, or other talents/hobbies are Forever come to Life because I'm always In the Right place at the Right time. Perhaps it's true, Life is a circle, so Quiting isn't an Option.

Nope. I once dropped out of a program I was doing at school. I had a hard time quitting because I'm not one to quit before I'm done, but that was the best thing I could have done. I wasn't happy. I needed to find a new direction and, if I had not quit, maybe I'd still be stuck doing something I don't like.

No- sometimes even if you have given it your best shot, things still don't work out like you would have liked them to and you have to move on. Depends on the situation, but I would not automatically associate quitting with failure.

Charmz......You are becoming Questioner Extraordinaire!
.............and I I'm not schmoozing you either, lol.

Answer: No, not always, sometimes knowing when to quit, is being knowledgeable enough to see that perhaps (depending upon what you speak of) you are in a self defeating situation, or a field that is not your expertise.
It simply depends on the situation at hand.

No, not always. Sometimes I associate it with for example Impossible. I know that this sounds negative, but it's just an example. ^^
