I'm going to Las Vegas on new year, but the problem is that I'm 20 years old and I'm going with five people and they're all over 21, I wanna have fun in Vegas but I don't wanna ruin their fun, because they don't like shopping or watching a show, they wanna spend their times in bars/clubs, so are there any good place for under 21/over 18 ?

Bars/clubs WILL ID you in Vegas. They have way too much to loose by letting minors slip in... and believe me they arn't hurting for business... especially on New Years. There are things that you can do in Vegas without being 21... the best thing to do would be to call your hotel and ask them for suggestions... I'm sure there are 18+ clubs there somewhere (the strip is huge). DON'T try to gamble without ID... they seldom ID you while you're gambling but if they catch you they will kick you out, and maybe even ban you which means you won't be able to enjoy it when you're 21. You could drink in your room (I highly suggest bring your own alcohol if you're staying on the strip, the alcohol there is expensive), and then go see the strip... it's probably going to be packed with people on New Years. Again, the best thing to do is ask your hotel if you're staying in a major one, or if you're not, call a major one and act like you're considering them and ask them to send you information on 18+ entertainment.

There are a couple of good answers and others that are totally stupid. As mentioned before check with your DMV. All 50 states have different laws on when they expire and so. There should not be an issue as long as your ID is valid, the guards need to look at the birthdate and not the design and I am sure you are not the 1st person to go to Vegas on their 21st B Day with the under 21 design. Also, to one answer it does not matter if you drink or not you have to be 21 to gamble in Vegas.

Not true. Im 18 born and raised. I love it here and theres lots to do, even when I was 14 or 15… and I don't drink or smoke or do drugs. Never have. Never will. Just simply not true. Lots to do in Vegas. Be creative. Shows. Concerts. Fremont Street. Walk the Strip. NY NY rollercoaster. Arcade in Excalibur. Mini theme park inside Circus Circus. Fashion Show Mall. Go up in the Eiffel Tower. Bellagio Fountains (i love driving down to the strip just to see them). Clubs for people under 21. I like to tourist watch especially at night all the drunk people are hilarious c:

Sorry. Especially on a big weekend like New Years, security is going to be extra dilligent about things like checking IDs. Vegas is kinda lame if you're in the 18-20 year old age group.

Gosh, I'm in the same boat as you. I am 20 (21 in february) and all my friends are 21 and over. It's hard being the youngest one. We usually just go to someones house and drink and play cards since I can't go to them to the bars. Some bars don't ID so you might get served! But be careful!!
