Thomas B, what do you call this?

16 U.S. congressmen voiced their approval for Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. Representatives Barney Frank, John Conyers, Chaka Fattah, Jan Schakowsky, Jose Serrano, and others complained in a letter to President Bush that the United States was not adequately protecting Chavez against a groundswell of internal opposition to his increasingly authoritarian rule--an upsurge that might lead to his ouster.

Chavez is trying to expand his powers. He said recently for his upcoming election that "...If you don't vote for me, you vote for Bush!..."

Is Chavez not trying to capitalize on the Liberal Media scheme of things?

I think you asked a very good question.

the object would not help your allegations. Do you have a link to something that does? so a techniques as Chavez is going, that's difficult to chop up the propaganda of the Bush administration and the propaganda of Chavez from what's truly taking place. the Bushies tried to overthrow Chavez' democratically elected government and characteristic him killed, merely as Nixon did Salvador Allende in Chile and for an analogous motives; international company pastimes. So I understand Chavez' recommendations-set in direction of Bush. I do exactly not understand how plenty to believe of Chavez' populist rhetoric and his attempting to take Castro's place because of the fact the Latin opposition to US dominance of the hemisphere. i'm waiting to make certain how Venezuelans earnings previously making up my recommendations.

Better question would be how many democrats don't care about Chavez and his agenda. Or when will you realise we don't care what celebrities do. Or don't generalize. Don't believe everything you read. As far as supporting dictatorships. Seems the Republicans are very good at this. You might want to do a bit more research before pointing a finger.

Does it matter what Democrats think of him? It's obvious that the Venezuelan people love him. Why is it any politician's business to determine who these people have decided to be their leader? Why is this an issue? There's no evidence of him trying to create a dictatorship. He's changing things in the country but the people keep voting him into office too. How is a voting democracy a dictatorship? It's not.

If Venezuelans like him, why should we care. He doesn't hate Americans. He just hates Bush (like 99% of Americans)

Its problematic when the situation has gotten so bad that the democrats will embrace dictators if they just oppose Bush. I'm anti-Bush, anti-Chavez, and anti-Saddam. But if I had one vote to cast, it would be to get rid of Bush.

I used to be comfortable with him... you know the whole "workers party" thing...

But if he's going to align himself with Amadinejad to "take down America" then there isn't much I can do for him....

If he turns to toast... oh well... one crazy down... a few hundred more to go.
