I like the dress but I don't think it's a tea party dress.
Here is a website with tea party dresses.

This would have to be an awfully fancy tea party. It seems a little much for a tea party, it would be better for an evening out like for New Years Eve party but why black for a tea party. I would choose something less seductive. Is this going to be all women? Why waste a beautiful gown on women when men would love to see you in it? The top is a little low cut, it leaves nothing to the imagination. I would go with something elegant rather than seductive. It's only a tea party.

Antebellum mixed with gothic. I imagine a big empty mansion. All the furniture is covered except for a small room with a cafe table in it. A tea set for eight but only you and I are there.

Yuck. Gross. Looks like something they wore in the 1800's,
like a costume or something.
