My mom and dad told me. Well... mostly my dad. We were walking around the mall and we seen this really long line to see "Santa" and he just told me. I kind of already knew but... to hear him tell me kind of took away the holiday magic.

One year I got an MP3 player (right when they came out) that already had my favorite songs on it. I was like "Wow, Dad! Santa knows all the songs I like! How can I add more?" so my Dad decides we should figure it out. He calls my grandfather when I'm not in the room, and I walk into the room and here him say "How did you get the songs on the MP3 player?" I knew right then that my parents asked my Grandfather to program the MP3 player and I realized Santa wasn't real. I also had an idea many years before because I had seen some of the wrapping paper that my mom had already bought, and the way she wraps presents was just like "Santa".

I busted my Dad putting together a bike when I was 7or 8 and the next day the tag said 'From Santa' and I figured it out. I didn't care though because I loved my Dad even more for the effort he put in to get us what we wanted. We were pretty poor so it meant a lot to me to think that all that time it was him and not Santa. That's when I really learned about the spirit of Christmas I think.

When I was like 13 I asked my mom when santa usually comes down the chimney and she was like, "Ok you're getting too old for this. You know there's no santa, right?" I was really crushed...

I must have been about 8 years old and I started noticing that my Mom's handwriting and "Santa's" handwriting were very similar. I started getting suspicious so I asked my mom and she was like "Do you really want to know?" and I said "yes" and she told me he wasn't a real person, but he was real in spirit :) awww

My stupid teacher! She was yelling at a boy for telling a kindergartner there was no Santa. It was like 40 years ago but I remember the shock !
She said'"We all know there is no such thing as Santa but you shouldn't ruin it for the little kids."
Stupid women I was a little kid!

My older brother told me from the very beginning. So when we had a Santa at home I already knew it was a neighbour, and I wanted to find which one, and I took his beard off. (Here in Romania Santa is 'seen', he comes at children's homes and talks to them, then gives them their gifts according to how good or bad they had been.)
