Do you think its okay that the National Anthem was canceled at the Steelers/Dolphins game. It was delayed 25 minutes because of bad weather, then no National Anthem?? Whats your opinion?

I didn't realize that I wasn't calm. Just looking for opinions.

PS- tell the boys fighting for our country to calm down and see where that gets you.

they don't televise the national anthem except for the super bowl so you wouldn't have even noticed otherwise. did you watch the game? Did you see the feild conditions? do you know how much the uniforms of the people holding the flags costs? My sister does and she said she wouldn't have wanted to go out there on that field.

Oh say can you see by the dawns early light what so proudly we hail at the twilight's last gleaming who's broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight or the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming and the rocket's red glare the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there O say does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave

I think that they should have played our National Anthem regardless of the delay.

It's really not that big of a deal. No where in the constitution or the law books does it say that you have to play the national anthem before a sporting event.

Let's stop focusing on the small issues in this country and start focusing on the big ones!!!!!!!!!!

I voiced my opinion with 8 thumbs downs.

Frankly I am sick of celebrities anyway and pro-football players are right at the top of the list. I guess it beats them hanging around the docks and breaking legs for some bookie or loan-shark, but not by much. I guess I could only hope that they might at least still honor an American tradition.

And no, I didn't watch the game or any other for that matter. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't read your question. Thanks for the info; just one more reason to avoid pro-sports all together.

Given the circumstances, it's not a major sin, though people seem to be getting their panties in a bunch over it.

If it was bad enough to pull the players off the field, one should not expect a band to have to stand out there either and play the anthem.

I think it's fine and people need to just chill out. Big freaking deal, no anthem for one game. How many other games are there played a year. I mean it's insane this even became an issue.

Were you at the game? I am sure they did not cancel the national anthem, but may have decided not to televise it. You'll be OK, glad you are patriotic.
