Look more into mastitis. Are you feeling fluish at all?

Also even the tiniest of cuts can sting like hell if you get one breastfeeding. At 5 months, he could have teeth.

Also I breastfed for months while pregnant, even got pregnant while EBFing. and noticed no change in how feeding felt., just supply.

When my little girl was a little younger than that, I got some sort of infection that caused the same problem. The doc told me to do most of the breast feeding from the other breast and occasionally take a warm washcloth and put it on the one that hurt less to ease the pain. He also suggested aspirin or tylenol - whichever one is okay to use while breastfeeding (I can never remember which it is).
Still, it is possible you're pregnant. May want to take a test just in case.

You sound as if you are not changing sides as often as you should. He might not be latching on as he should which would cause you soreness and him to have gas as he is sucking air. Sometimes it is also your body telling you it may be time to change how often you breastfeed and should look into a breast pump as an alternate. That would give your tender breasts a chance to relieve the pressure on their own

My bet is she is reducing enamel, all three of my youngsters did this at arund the equal age. Just deliver her slightly Tylenol, be certain to comply with dosage chart, and a few oragel to take the threshold off. This continually helped me get them by way of the night time.

Breastfeeding is your body's natural birth control. While you are brestfeeding you don't ovulate, so the chances are very good that you can't be pregnant. Call your OB or your lactation consultant, it sounds like you might have blocked or infected milk ducts which will need to be treated ASAP.
