I see this trait in just about all the women I know. Then they get upset when thier husbands wants to hang out with his friends. Shouldn't marriage be a continuation of one's life with combining that of the one they love. Obviously, you can't keep the same level frequency of hanging with your friends..but women seem to drop it completely.

Not all women give up their friends. I didn't! But some women get wrapped up into their man, and they feel their man should "complete" them, so that is where they focus all their energy on. I think it's a big mistake, but that is my own opinion. I would never dream of asking my husband to converse with me about makeup or clothes. So that is what I have girlfriends for.

Because many women take thier "job" as a wife and a mother seriously and don't want to put their marriage in jeopardy. Plus, you get busy when you get married, there are lots of things to do when you are starting your life with someone.

It takes time to settle into a new life, perhaps women need to give themselves time to accept all the changes going on. We are generally more emotional creatures than most men.

When I got married, I made time for all my friends... and eventually over the next few years, I truly learned which one of my friends were real and which ones were not.

I believe women tend to give 100% of themselves to their marriage. They believe to be a good wife you must be dedicated completely. In other words, you must put your husband first so, he can feel that he is wanted and cared for. You want to make sure that he has no excuse to say "Well nobody was home so, I took off". I think that is a mistake we women make . I suggest you see that movie "The diary of a mad black women". It definatly sums up how we as women tend to forget ourselves.

Many people do this but not everyone. I still hang out with my friends and my husband goes out with his friends too. Well, he mainly goes to play basketball. Also we have a lot of friends in common so we hang out with them together.

lots of married women have friends...they just usually put most of their energy into their marriage...and married men I know do the same, unless they're one of the immature types who has to 'hang out with his friends' all of the time while his wife is home alone.

where there is marriage without love, you will soon see love without marriage

Just keep hanging out at Wrigley with me and don't try to change them.

They are strange creatures indeed.
