Why do men cheat?

They don't find their relationship fulfilling enough in a certain aspect, whether it be emotionally, mentally or physically. Of course many people will say it's obvious they're not getting what they need if they are cheating, but the reasons behind are not so obvious. A lot of men become sexually bored and frustrated in long-term relationships because they don't feel like they are getting enough excitement from their partner. This often isn't the fault of the woman, but the fact that men are often not comfortable with sharing some of their sexual fantasies for fear of rejection. So instead of talking to their wife or girlfriend about it, they might go to another woman who doesn't matter so much and is able to fulfill their sexual desires without the man fearing rejection of his fantasies from his partner. In short, cheating often comes from not having open enough communication.
Of course, there are also instances in which men don't feel like they have a strong enough/supportive enough emotional bond and that they need to go to someone else who connects with him better. There are also the men who don't find their partners intellectually stimulating enough and will also turn to women who intrigue and challenge them. Of course there are also the morons who don't know what they are doing and just cheat because they can, but in most cases cheating is a red flag that a man is feeling that some aspect of his relationship is lacking. Of course, women do this too, but I think men get accused of cheating more often because women generally have more of a tendency to talk these things out BEFORE they do the cheating, whereas many men who might not be so good at communicating will do the cheating before they will admit they have a problem.

Men are ruled by their penis. Simple and true. If you are with a man and youre not giving them the full attention that they think they should have from you they start to look elsewhere. A common example of this is when a woman is pregnant or just had a baby. All her attention is on the baby and 10/10 she is tired so cannot fulfill her mans needs. This is why they start to cheat. Unless you have a sex drive like a mans which most women do not men will always look elsewhere for sex. Men can seperate Sex and Love. Women cant. Men are only ever emotional in love when they are close to women ie married but this still does not stop them from looking. A study showed that baby boys respond to looking at things from birth. Baby girls however pick up on emotions more. A tip is when you meet a chap give him the best sex and keep it like that throughout the relationship. Make him feel like he is a God at all times. Constantly tell him hes the best. This way he will know that all your attention is on him and no one else. Men need sex to cope with everyday life they think better if they have a bit. The pain of infidelity is horrendous. So if you really like a guy and want to keep him then do the above. Saves all that emotional stuff when you find out. Like I said before men dont show their emotions. If youre with a chap hes unfaithful I bet you 99% of the time that he wont be as upset as you.

Because it is in their genetic makeup to want to "spread their seed" to as many receptive females as possible and the ones that cheat are too dumb/mean/weak/unevolved to resist the primal urge. That being said, it happens a lot when people are young because you shouldn't be ready to really commit until you are an adult. how old are you? Also maybe he's just not that into you, Sorry!

I know people are saying "for the same reason women cheat", but I think the reason women cheat is different, they feel unappreciated, unattractive, bored, they want attention. It is not the same, but equaly wrong to do.

I'm sorry to tell you women do cheat too. As a woman I know .The reason why some people cheat is they are insecure.Second the other person is not fulfilling there needs.

Men cheat because someone came along who made them feel attractive and laughed at their jokes, etc....They cheat because they would rather be unfaithful and a louse, than go to their spouse and say, "There is a gal who was flirting with me today, and I am going to avoid her from now on." They cheat because they fail to tell their spouse what they need from them. They would rather clam up and pretend everything is okay, than to talk about their needs and desires with the one they have made a committment to. They think of nothing other than getting their egos fed.
Young men think they need variety, and think with their penises instead of their hearts. Middle aged and old men are just looking for that youthful feeling again. Anyone who cheats is not honest. Cheating is a form of lying. And IF they are truly sorry (and you CAN tell if they are or not), then the relationship CAN be salvaged. But, cheat on me once, shame on you.....cheat on me twice, shame on me!!

Opportunity, or they aren't getting their needs met at home. The likelihood is less that a person (not only men) will cheat if they are being taken care of at home. Cheating is not always about sex either. It can be for emotional support, or someone who will listen to them, etc.

Why do women cheat? I know a woman who cheated on her husband whilst they were trying for a baby.

I can only think that anyone who cheats either: (a) Really is attracted to the person they cheat on, and/or (b) Are not happy in their current relationship.

Because society gives them permission. A man who has lots of sex partners is a stud while a women is a tramp. They get away with lots of stuff because "boys will be boys". Until society changes the majority of men will cheat.
