It is far beyond just Palestinians problem. Israelis have all made it impossible for the people in Palestine to exist. This is the reality of the situation. Not only that but the UN is NOT a country, nor should they be put on such a pedestal.

I will never forget how Israel killed a Nun who was trying to protect a Palestinian. They just plowed right over her. There are atrocities on BOTH sides, which will only be dealt with after people can let go from their religions, because that is exactly what is at heart of the debate. Nothing will happen until this happens.

There are no distinct people called "Palestinians" prior to 1948 everyone who lived in British controlled Palestine were called by that nick name be it Christian,Jew or Arab.
I think this statement below made by a high ranking PLO member at the time pretty much sums up as to why the Arabs who call themselves by that moniker refuse peace.

In a March 31, 1977 interview with the Amsterdam-based newspaper "Dagblad de Verdieping Trouw", March 31, 1977, PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein said: "The Palestinian people does not exist.
The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

Looks like the first part of Joseph Goebbels quote has become true:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

I agree with Tony. I also think the Palestinian people are caught in a crossfire. It has tainted their ability to cope and they feel they have no alternative than violence. If Israel wants to make friends in it's neighborhood they should give up the land. Is war now more important than property that they should not give that up? But on the other hand, I do not believe it will end either. The diametricaly opposed forces in the mid-east (and east-west over all) are like oil and water. It's too late and the end game is in motion. Stock up some tools and learn to garden.

Your question was cut off, but I think I have the answer you're loking for. The so called peaceful resolutions you speak of will further rob the Palestinians of the land they really believe is theirs. Its obvious that they would rather kill themselves then be occupied and oppressed. The "peaceful resolutions" that finally work will have to be less lopsided. Otherwise they will still react to oppression any way they can.

The Palestinians, may they one day find peace, are at the mercy of radical Islamist factions whose goal is to cause trouble. That is it: cause trouble. The idea is to cause the collapse of governments, especially Israel and Western democracies, and to establish Islamist states amid the resulting chaos. The Palestinians are caught in the crossfire.

It is because we feel that it should of never happened the first place, and we do want to agree, but in the past every time it does we end up getting the shorter end of the stick and then Israelis begin asking for more, and that equals for another 6-day war

Good question. If you notice right now they are fighting themselves. My guess is the violence has been going on for so long, they think nothing of killing. Its the only thing they know.
