I get a kick out all of the Judeo-Christian platforming by conservatives and Republicans, for the most part, and how they think think this is something God wants?

Can they really believe God endorses war and killing?
Can anyone really truly believe that God told Bush to invade any other country?

If there is a hell like Christians believe, it sure is going to be full there!

This has been one of the most mundane wars in the history of war. There have been far worse wars in American history alone. I think a few people even died in the name of the bible... the crusades or something like that. I'm pretty sure hell is already pretty full.

I agree with the premise behind the war, but I do not believe that Bush was told by God to invade Iraq. We can look to justify with chrystal clear clarity the war in Afghanistan, even though the Taliban Government did not partake in the planning of the attack. Then we have this war, with its ambiquity, and the lines between morality and justice become blurred. I cannot tell with any real certainity if God approves of this war any more than I could with evey other war in history. I am a Republican and I am a Christian. What I do know is that from what I have been told and read, I see the justice in the war....i do not see the deals made under the table or the alterior-motives that MAY be at work here....and because of that, i will not be held accountable to it....I will only be held accoutable to the condition of my heart and the decisions I have made accordingly.
Good question!

It seems to me that God has all the power he might need to change or stop any particular behavior here on earth, including creating the place to begin with. But, when he put the jellybeans in our DNA, he put a goodish amount of competitiveness - I don't know why, I find it stressful and anxiety-producing - but then I wasn't at the planning session. I think man judging whether things defy or comply with god's will is like asking a dog's input on the design of a fire hydrant.

I haven't killed anyone. Besides, Old Testament God is pretty cruel so I think he has had his shares of killings. When I meet my maker, I think I will have some other things to explain to him than the war in Iraq.

God knows wars are a necessary part of civilization. Not all, but wars serve the greater good of the people, by destroying evil.
Before you start spouting things you know nothing of, or could even comprehend.....do some research.

I'm not going to claim religious superiority, I'm not very religious. But assuming there is a God, and there is a God like in the Bible, then people don't need to justify war. First, it is God's judgment, not man's justification. And God does justify war. It is His judgment if we understand the justification. Check out Deuteronomy 20

God does not exist. But that still doesn't make it right! No war is wanted, but if God said, apparently its right to kill others. I'm not influenced by the Bible, and apparently no one else is. Did they even read their books that are so close to them? Did they understand any of the few good messages in that book? Ugh, time for a book burning!!!

If you had ever read the Bible and knew about Christian history you would not be asking this. You would know that God Himself destroyed the entire world once and He has ordered one nation to destroy anther on more than one occasion. God does not promote war or killing but sometimes it is necessary in order for His plan to work. We as humans sometimes do not understand His actions and He is in no way obligated to justify his actions to us.

I won't have to! My God knew me before I was born. Therefore he knows that I believe in him and his word. He told me in the Bible that my body was his Temple, that I should not let harm come to it.

So....He knows that I had no choice but to defend his Temple.

I can"t say to you what justifiable I could, any place but here, because some crybaby will report me,for voicing my opinion,it's happened before.

The only thing I will say is you are DEFINITELY not a Christian, just by your remarks.

With your view of all Christians and degrading God.

YOU will find out how true your last sentence is:

Speaking for myself? I'm pro-life all the way and leave the judging of everyone else up to Him... ;)

Ohbrother ---> I think you're forgetting what old "whats-his-name" (Ah yes, that would be JESUS) said in the New Testament regarding "Loving your Enemy", "Turning the Other cheek"... I reflect the question back to you: do you know the intention of God?

Kelly, back to your question: These people believe in a vengeful, violent God. I do not subscribe to that brand of Christianity.
