I did not question the stats as they came from a neutral site. But its worth looking into. I quess the stats are conservative.

I think that is so sad. There are free clinics everywhere that will give birth control. Every drug store, Walmart, and grocery store sells condoms. And then there is that little matter of self control. Why can't people practice that more often?

It depends which way you look at it - it would be even more depressing to have 42,172,000 more children in the world that aren't wanted. More children living in terrible squalor and poverty, chained to beds in eastern european orphanages etc.

EDIT: the world certainly is a depressing place - when it is filled with idiots like you that pluck figures out of the air and can't back them up. What a nasty piece of work you are - I actually do a lot of things to help disadvantaged children - what do you do apart from bring this place down with your statistics on death - let me guess, you are some messed up little 20 year old who thinks they are going to change the world with your dumb ideas - got any bright suggestions on what to do with an extra 42 million children? fool. Well, the world would have been a much brighter place if you too were amongst the 42 million terminations.

Sounds as though birth control needs to be made more readily available to young women at a low cost. Obviously people are going to continue to have sex, if you want to reduce the number of abortions, make birth control available EASILY to everyone, especially high school girls. Educate your children about unprotected sex.

That's so sad. Everytime I hear about any woman/girl having an abortion, it just breaks my heart.

I don't care what the situation is, there is ALWAYS another option (like, place the baby for adoption.. and give him/her a chance at life). As far as I'm concerned, these women that go and have abortions are no different than those you read about in the news who beat their baby to death. They deserve to be in prison, right along with them. If you don't love/want your baby.. give him/her to someone who will.

Abortion is murder, and it is absolutely heartbreaking.

I don't think it's right to sit here and judge people. They have their own lives and things going on that we have no idea about. Before you start getting all nasty, walk a mile in their shoes! To each, their own.

That number seems very high.

What is the source of your information?

Your stats on how many were killed in war also seemed high.

I choose to live only my own life and take care of only my own responsibilities.

I realize I cannot save or change the world. That is for God to do.

To be happy, I know I cannot be the "morals police". So I chose to live and let live. Because of all of this. I am happy.

Good luck.
