The Sudanese anger is not totally due to naming a teddy bear Muhammed. Prophet Muhammed himself never said not to name anything after him.He wouldn’t care.
But those gestures of disrespect and degradation of the muslims’most respected religious symbol serve as reminders to muslims of the ongoing campaign against their religion and culture,it just adds up to :
1. Early Christian Crusades
2. Colonization
And in modern history,
3. the Wstern conspiracy with the Jews to carve out a country for the latter by slaughtering the whole muslim nation of Palestine for the last 60 years against the UN resolutions and voices of freedom all around the world.
So,it is not totally due to the Teddy Bear.
That teacher is an idiot,British people have been dispatched to spread the English language in muslim countries for years. They have a tradition of what to expect, how to respect other people's religions and habits.
Besides, she must have heard of the riot following the cartoons. She was supposed to be a good example of respect for her students.
All countries have laws that are expected to obey.Let us say,she speeds in her country-Britain and a cop chased her and fined her or sent her to jail, wouldnt it be ok or would her prime minister and people like you interneve to condemn the cop ?
Britain also has defamation laws where individuals and businesses are fined and sent to jail with no fuss, but defaming the most noble teacher of more than 1 billion people is fine with you.
Or how about this Iraqi women, why I dont see you defending them ?

Enough double standards !
Try to think about the thousands of innocent mulsims thrown in Guantanamo for no crime other than they happened to hold muslim names like mohamed in some of airports in the land of freedom, tolerance and loving god.

I even have chanced on maximum British human beings to be truly polite and somewhat exciting. i'm an American, the son of a Scotsman, and if there became into ever a human beings to dislike the Brits, it may the two be a Scot or an Irishman. turning out to be up, I spent a minimum of sometime each and every week enjoying soccer with foreigners, because it became into not a nicely customary game back then. the changes in our cultures clarify a great number of ways we discover them as such, yet once you get to understand the individuals, you will locate they're rather a exciting loving bunch and make as plenty exciting of themselves because of the fact the do others. that's extremely almost a British comical cultural element. They make exciting of each and every others' fashionable communities, plenty as we do, yet their form of humor comes for the period of slightly "off" by our standards. So, merely attempt to understand our cultural changes are what makes us see them because of the fact the "severe and effective, self-righteous assholes", (that and the reality that we beat them for our independence and countless are nonetheless bitter approximately that.)

Yesterday thousands of Sudanese Muslims staged a rally where they advocated killing the teacher for naming the teddy bear Muhammed. Who says Islam isn't a religion of peace? It's getting old watching Muslims continue to advocate killing people.

Sorry, not buying your attempts to excuse stupidity on behalf of the Sudanese government and the people marching in the street.
Ms. Gibbons did nothing out of ill-intent and most mainstream Muslims have stated that the people in Sudan massively overreacted. If anything, her actions were no more than a social faux pas, and should have and would have been treated as such in any civilized country on the face of the earth. It appears that the Sudan does not qualify, as if we didn't already have enough proof of this given the situation in Darfur.

I didn't really see a question there...but know ALL the facts BEFORE you JUDGE!
The name Muhammad is VERY common in that region.
A seven-year-old girl brought in her favorite cuddly toy and the rest of the class was invited to name him. After considering the names Hassan and Abdullah, they voted overwhelmingly in favor of Muhammad — the first name of the most popular boy in the class.
She faces a public lashing or up to six months in prison if found guilty on charges of blasphemy. And Unity High School — one of a number of exclusive British-run schools in the Sudanese capital — has been closed as staff fear reprisals from Islamic extremists.

(The marchers took to the streets after Friday prayers to denounce the sentence as too lenient.
The protesters gathered in Martyrs Square, outside the presidential palace in the capital, many of them carrying knives and sticks.
Some news agencies reported thousands of people took part in the protest, but a BBC reporter at the scene said up to a thousand marchers turned out.
According to some agencies, some of the protesters chanted: "Shame, shame on the UK", "No tolerance - execution" and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad".
"We can't accept it from anybody. Even if they can do that in Europe, they cannot do it here in Sudan. We ask our rulers and judges to review what they have said. Fifteen days is not enough."
One demonstrator told reporters that it was unacceptable to take a toy and call it Muhammad.)

Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Muhammad."

To be politically correct...
I strongly dislike the actions of the Extremists or Terrorist People who do harmful things in the name of any religion.
BTW-Your "facts" on the Jewish history are incorrect as well!

"thousands of innocent Muslims thrown in Guantanamo"?
uh, you should really try and look things up before you just rant. I'll attach the Wik link later, but FYI, a total of 775 prisoners have been put in GTMO and only slightly over 300 remain.
As to the rest of your rant,...
Not gonna waste my time.

Learning what a religion is about by allowing someone to read you its bible or tell you what is written in its bible is a very poor way to learn the religion. You end up with misinformed followers that are deluding their religion to be something that it is not.
