Please take your suburban to your local Chevy dealerships service dept.Take your garage door remote with you.They will program you home link system for you and show you how its done.They will all so be able to answer any other questions you may have.Best of luck with your suburban.

you must first know what kind of garage opener you have. if you garage door opener in before 1982 it is not going to work. hold your g d o about 3 inches from the homelink buttons push 1 homelite button and your garage remote button until homelite lite flashes slowly and u r done, if that doesn't work look on your overhead motor for a smart or learn button push that and go in vehicle and push homelite button
