£17.70
Or if you really do mean what would be a 30% discount off 59 pounds then 59 - 17.70 = £41.30.

30% = 30 / 100
So 30% = .3
To now find 30% of 59 you multiply 59 by .3:
.3 x 59 = 17.7

how I always do this as I often have to do it in head at work
I work out 10%
so that would be 5.90
then times by 3 = 17.70
I also rounded up the 5.90 to 6 pounds then took off the 30p at the end

well to work out 10%
you need to
59 divide by 10 which is 5.9
so to work out 30& percent you have to multiply it 3 times
so 3 times 5.9 is 17.70 pounds! :D hope it helped

30% off 59 pounds is 17.7 pounds OFF.
The actual PRICE after the discount is
P = (59 pounds) * 0.7
P = 41.3 pounds
