I'm not a Met fan, but I can't help it notice that had the Mets traded him last year or 2 years ago, they could have gotten more for him. Schneider is a solid catcher but they already have 2 cathcers and Churh is solid but I still think Milledge has more potential than Church.

Average trade...Schneider was the NL #1 defensive catcher with 29.3% throwout baserunner avg, this is definitely an upgrade the down side is his batting avg. Ryan Church is a pretty decent outfielder. He hurt the Mets a few times last season.
Milledge is going to be a really good player however,he was also going to eventually become a major liability. He reminds me of a young Gary Sheffield except not as vocal. Everyone thinks Sheffield is a great player but, how many teams has he been on?
I would have liked the Mets to gotten a pitcher however, no GM is going to let a pitcher go until this Santana issue is settled, if he does he's a fool. The Santana trade will set the benchmark for the who has to give up what/how much etc...Remember there is a large amount of teams that need pitchers and not many available.

i'm a mets fan, yet i dont anticipate a hundred loses. i think of ninety tops, jointly as i'm hoping for a triumphing or .500 record. the nats truthfully have extra applicable pitching, if each and every thing is going properly, possibly between the final interior the NL.

yeah, they should have held on to milledge and used him to land a big-game starter...trading him for a second-teir OF and a second-teir C was really, really stupid.
