Apparently Belichick is enamored with Louisville QB Brian Brohm and wants to draft him as Brady's successor. Would this be a good move by the Pats.. It certainly provides them with great depth at QB

This organization, The New England Patriots are a machine. They are always looking to improve. Drafting a QB is a smart thing to do. Brohm will learn from Brady so in three or four years, he can take over. Or, they can use him just enough to allow him to prove he is capable, and then ship him out for other prospects. A third possibility is that they shop him, after they draft him to teams who are desperate for a QB!

I do not think this would be a good move. Brady is still a young qb, plus the Patriots have 2 viable back ups. This could effect Brady's performance as team leader. Look at the effect of the Eagles drafting a qb. When the eagles drafted Kolb Mcnabb has not been the same qb. Why mess with perfection? Plus would a rookie qb really wanna sit on the bench and wait for Brady to retire, or go to a team he could immediatley help? Brady has more than a few years left in his career. If you look at Favre he is 38 and still playing great. If you consider Brady is only 30, do you think a qb would want 8 or more years to be the starting qb? The average career of an nfl player is 3 and a half seasons. Look at David Carr. He peaked after his 3rd season and he is hanging around to a dream of being a starting qb, when he can not even beat out a 44 year old Vinny Testaverde to start.

they gained't save the p.c... the patriots have not any pastime in paying a rookie the form of money that a suited 5 p.c.. warrants. besides, brohm isnt going to prefer to take a seat around for seven years or so waiting for brady to retire (see Aaron Rodgers). they'll commerce down for the two 2 decrease first or a decrease first this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and yet another first next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

First, 90% of your posts are BS...Second, you're talking to a Pats fan, and they like Cassell as a backup...Brady has got 8 or 9 years left at least...Look at Favre...I don't think they are worried about who is gonna replace Brady yet...

I don't think Brady is even 30 years old.....QB's play til about 37 years old or beyond that even. They don't need to think about Brady's successor yet.

he should be - he is the best QB prospect coming out. I think it would be a good pick. Have him learn from Brady for three or four years.

brady may get a bit upset because he will have just wont he mvp of the season and the superbowl too and may ask for a trade and that would be the worst possible thing that can happen to the patriots
