okay so me and my "wife" went to the court house to get a marriage lic. we got it and arainged to get married by the judge two weeks later, we did! we took home a marriage certificate and the judge told us we would be recieving the OFFICIAL certificate in the mail- its been 8 mo. does that mean we are not married?

No it just means you havent gotten the paperwork yet. Go to the court house and ask about ho you should contact to get it.

No it means it was either lost in the mail or the state is lsow.Go back to the courthouse and tell the clerk of courts you never received your marriage license.

if the justice of the piece married you, then i am sure he did all the documents. however you can go back to the judges office and talk to the clerk. just let them know you never got the paperwork. some states, the marriage certificate has to be turned in to get the real one. and some states, that IS the real one.
