It's very close between him and Marino, but I don't think there's a debate as to who's the best quarterback in the NFL today or even this season. Sure, Brady's having a heck of year, but look at all of his weapons. Favre has half of that talent around him and has led the Pack to a 10-2 record. Be honest, did you think the Packers would win any more than 8 games this season?

Brett Favre is talented. He has even helped the Jets elevate as a team. His ability to pass has helped the running game open up where it was lackluster last year. He is not like any other QB. He is the gunslinger and a soldier. He is a risk taker and has won big and lost big because of it. He has my respects as one of the greats, but not the greatest. To me, Joe Montana will always be the greatest QB ever. He does not have all the QB records that others have, but he is the best clutch QB to ever play the game. The coolest under pressure. Known for his 4th quarter comeback wins. 4 SB wins under his belt. A true team leader. Every quarterback has talent. Some are more talented in some areas than others. Stats don't always tell the story. It is all about the way they play the game and the way they lead their team. It starts with the QB and the QB brings the confidence to the players that trust him. Thumbs up to those who agree.

It is always hard to compare, but I would say that he is better than Marino, he won a Superbowl and Dan didn't... Brett definitely is the most exciting QB ever, but it is hard to say who is the best! Montana has the most rings, Brady may get even more, Manning may brake all Farve's records in a couple of years... I like Farve the most tough!

Farve is one of the best ever, and will be in discussions, but I can not say he is better than Montana, Marino, Elway or even Steve Young, Tom Brady. Payton needs to be mentioned ofcourse. I think Championships should count, Farve is in the top 5 at least

I believe Dan Marino to be the best quarterback in history. Hands down. Granted that Montana, Elway, Favre, Aikman, etc... have all won Super Bowls and Marino had none. But look at each of those names. Montana had Roger Craig, Elway had Terrell Davis, Aikman had Emmitt Smith. Favre's running backs were marginal. Who did Marino have? Anybody know their names off the top of your heads? I could give you days to think about it and you probably still couldn't think of one. The fact is that Marino carried the Dolphins to the Super Bowl once and to the playoffs nearly every year of his career. He did this all with "his arm" and no running backs to speak of. Kareem abdul jabbar (not the Laker/Buck either) was probably his best back in all those years. Give Marino an Emmitt, or Craig, and see who could have stopped them. 5-6 rings easily!

Ask Deion Sanders the top authority on football and diamond earrings. Deion knows more jive and football than Sammy Baugh and Brett combined, just ask him.

No.

I love The Gunslinga as much as the next man...but Favre is not the best of all time. He's probably around 7th on the all-time list though.

Better than Marino and Baugh? Yes, he is better than those two.
The best QB Ever? NO, I would give that to Joe Montana followed by John Elway.
