Persia's pretty old, then there's Africa as a whole (Cradle of life), China, even good old Great Britain has history dating back to the stone-age.

Depends on how you measure the "size" of history. Anatomically modern humans evolved in Africa between 200,000 and 100,000 years ago. The earliest cities were probably built in Mesopotamia (which is present-day Iraq). The earliest writing system, Mesopotamia again. The largest number of survived artifacts... Europe, India, and China all have a lot.
