I saw the real thing and was very impressed. It's definitely abstract. When I went to see the Mona Lisa it didn't impress me much, but I found Guernica to be really powerful. It really conveys the horror of strategic bombing without beating you over the head with it.

Some debate out there but "Cubism" looks your best bet.

Picasso himself said he did not paint in any particular "style".

It is painted in the Cubist style, but it falls into his surrealist phase.
