This year I don't want to spend a lot of money of gifts for people so I thought that since I'm a person who loves to bake, I would make a lot of cookies and truffles and these pecan tarts and wrap them up and give them to people. Would you like such a gift or would you throw it away? Oh, I would be using real butter and quality ingredients.

How about a gift certificate from their favorite shopping center. You could also get them a nice gift basket for the whole family. I think it is a shame that people can't even be close for one holiday season. Merry Christmas to you. hope all works out well and everyone is happy. We have to remember what Christmas is all a bout. The Birth of Christ Jesus. It is not just gift giving . It is all the love and memory's that go along with it.God Bless.

Heck yes I would eat them, My mom and dad were down in Arkansas, for the winter and for a Christmas present they sent up a 10 pound box of just what you're going to make, that was one of the best presents we ever received. It was made with love and that was better than something bought in a store, My brother and I were in my folks house up north while they were gone, we both gained about 20lbs, but it was a great gift.

I think your idea for gifts sounds great. From the heart and delicious!

Why is it that we as a society have downgraded wonderful homemade gifts in favor of cheap mass-produced crap? I'd take homemade any day. The gifts my kids make me are dearer to me than any box of soaps or perfumes that they could buy.

I have a trunk full of the gifts that my children have made for me from their heart.

**hugs**

I'm a "biscuit" or "cookie" fan !! They have to be homemade though ! The wrapping ? I don't really care for it but just to think, that someone would have made them just for me, is sooo wonderful !
