My boyfriend's daughter was accepted to a desing program at another high school. Since she wants to go into graphic arts, she decided to go. The school is in an all black neighborhood, and was 75% black, 20% Spainsh, and 5% white or "other". We didn't think this would be that big of a problem, since her previous school was very diverse and there was never an issue.

After about the second week of school, the black students decided they wanted all of the white students gone, and were going to make their lives hell. They would hoot and holler at the girl and yell obscenities. One girl pushed her head into a locker! The teachers did nothing about it. In fact, they were barely even teachers. They spoke "ebonics" in class. I read several comments on her homework, and words were spelled incorrectly. My husband actually called one of her teachers, and the teacher said, "She ain't funna last here long!"

My question is, in this day and age, how could this happen? What if it were vice versa?

Unfortunately racist behaviour seems to be seen as one way only and that's when whites do it. Blacks and others are just as bad if not worse. When it's the other way round no-one cares. Take her out of that school and put her somewhere more appropriate.

Call the school board and report these teachers and ask them why this is allowed to go on.
