Nope. The Republican party has also imposed a penalty on those states for having their primaries so early..half their delegates at the convention.

How will not campaining for the primary hurt the party? The drive to vote comes after a candidate has been chosen.

I'm in FL and that won't stop me from voting in the primary. All they need is one vote to declare a winner.

Of course the Dem's are shooting themselves in the foot - that's what they do best (besides raising taxes). Liberals, like the current Democratic party, are not long term thinkers. They like the instant thinking and great SOUNDING ideas. The problem is they are usually VERY short sighted.
Remember the 18% interest rates and horrible economy of the liberal Jimmy Carter tax and spend administration??? He was a very nice man...but very nieve. I pray every day that the country will not revert to liberal political philosophy in 2008,

There wouldn't be a problem in Florida if the REPUBLICAN legislature had not moved the primary date to one earlier than DNC rules allow. They knew it would cause problems for the Dem's yet they did it for political advantage. They put their party first, ahead of the best interests of the people of Florida.

Are u serious? Nobody really cares (well we all care) but all the candidates suck! But we have no choice really if u think about it! It's like these campaigns this time are like a big crazy reality show. It's a circus, and they're all clowns!

They ought to both vote overwhelmingly Republican to send the message to the DNC not to screw with the states.

No -- they will lose them because their candidate is a poor choice for president.
