It's all in good faith of participating. Anyways, the local franchise holder gets a load of sponsorship money from such events. Its quite sad when the Malaysian chapter does not allow Malay girls to participate as Indonesia allows it. Kinda funny huh? Progressive or regressive in this case? Anyways, Malaysia's participation has never been very competitive coz the sample size is reduced to 35% of the population, i.e. the non-muslim population. So, not a great sample size on Malaysia's beauty - isn't it?
