Kasparov wasn't jailed for calling the elections a farce, he was jailed for 5 days for an illegal protest.

because it was Ralph Nader.

He's laughable and psychotic --at best.

Well, folks KNOW that the elections(2000 and 2004 both)were a farce.but that's not news. I believe in healthy, fair and may the person who gets it wins race, and I won't lie to you, that wasn't fair, cause I saw the returns, and I know better. Ralph Nader saw what I saw and said the same thing, but the reason that folks are not jumping up and down about it is because they are satisfied with the results. But folks, we should have had something to say about how votes in Florida(2000)and Ohio(2004)were manipulated and/or not used to make the vote count. which is why I admire Al Gore for sticking to his guns in 2000 and asked for a new count and felt that Kerry threw in the towel a bit too soon. What went down seven years ago was very historic and we just downplayed it.

We have a news blackout. We've seen very little about the electronic voting machines. In fact, I saw a lot about it on bragblog.com. State after state was suing Diabold, and the few other republican-owned companies for the machines being easily tampered with. And because there were questionable results. The law that set this very expensive fiasco in motion, for the states, was coauthored by Bob Ney. I believe, he's still in jail for corruption. The votes are not tallied by the public, but by the companies. Ralph Nader is right. He's not alone thinking this. A lot of countries thought that Kerry had won, after the 2004 elections. No coverage of that, either. According to (very accurate) polls, he should have. Those polls are used in some countries to verify that elections aren't stolen.

Propaganda works like that. Anything to discredit the credibility of a country that is seen as hostile, think of all the fairy tales that were told about Iraq by defectors which all turned out to be lies or all the nonsense told about Chavez and Castro.
Our system is perfect and people calling it a farce are made the object of ridicule as is clear from most of the other answers you got. That's propaganda and it's nothing new.

How anyone can still claim the media is anything less than a propaganda extension of the cooperate government and even assert a liberal media bias is beyond absurd. Unfortunately it works

The majority of Americans aren't intelligent enough to process what Ralph Nader was saying about our elections. Also the US media is a corporate owned sham, they only give us the news they want us to have.

If we agree that technological awareness can get replaced, the drug company won't have an excuse of expanding drugs fees because of the fact of regulation suit.additionally if we seem on the different area that has used the socialist device it has slowed down and did not stay as much as its Utopian promise. LFP
Probably because the U.S. media prefers its subjects stupid and complacent....oh wait....they ARE, for the most part!
I have a hard time comprehending just what it is that Americans have against Nader. The man devoted his entire life to the safety of the American consumer; who's better qualified than that to lead this country?
The powers-that-be have already decided who's going to be the next president, I can guarantee.
