Hello, on the show at the start when the judges intro an opera song plays which I have been looking for for years (Yes I know how sad that is to most people)

Anyway anyone know the name of it?

This question has been answered in Yahoo Answers an interminable amount of times already.

It's not opera - it the opening section of a scenic cantata by Carl Orff called 'Carmina Burana'. The movement in question is called 'O Fortuna' and is one of the most overplayed pieces of classical music on the planet.

Not everything with singing in it is an opera.

Yes, I remember Carmina Burana being used in an Old Spice advert from the 1970's. It's a great piece of music but it's been done to death just like Prokofiev's "Montagues and Capulets" or Barber's "Adagio for Strings"

Time to give them a rest methinks.
