In this case, I would say:

Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism

Is it patriotic for me to disagree with both sides of fence, but people on both sides disagree with me so I disagree with one side sometimes and sometimes the other, or doesn't that make them more patriotic? Wait, now I'm confused who should I disagree with? HAHAHA.

Intelligent respectful disagreement is patriotic. But disagreement for the sake of disagreement is a silly standard to try to achieve. And it happens quite a bit.

Not very since liberals fought england and won independence for the colonies. If the cons of the day would have had their way you'd still bow to a king.

liberals wrote BOTH The Constitution & The Bill of Rights. That's your idea of "unpatriotic"?

HAHA what a joke liberals of the day fought against England and wrote the consitution, thats a good joke. If those same so called liberals were around today they would be Republicans. Now which party supported slavery again mmmm let me see ,. was it DEMOCRATS what party was the gov who did not want blacks in school, what party was the President at the time who ordered that they be allowed ???? you gone quite now boy.

And its the duty of any patriot to disagree with a liberal traitor, especially ones who are so cowardly they have not served outside the US on REAL duty

I'm sure you will disagree when I tell you that this question was ridiculous. The fact that you disagree with that doesn't make you patriotic.

" new standard of patriotism from liberals is to disagree"
You really need to stop listening to Sean Hannity. Try going cold-turkey on the kool aid for a week or two and hopefully you will get a grip on reality.

That depends on whether you are listening before you disagree or whether you have completely closed your mind to anything that is presented by the left. The first would be considered making a decision based upon your own powers of reasoning rather than bias. The second would just show a lack of intelligence.

The only time patriotism comes into play is when you're either:
a) supporting the right to dissent, or
b) dissenting from fascism, as we have been doing ever since Bush stole the first election and used his old man's Obscene Court to do it.

And to the Paddy moron who considers himself an expert on American history revision:
1) How many years ago was it that the Republican Party was LIBERAL enough to free the slaves?
2) To what party did those CONSERVATIVE Dixiecrat bigots move after LBJ took a less wimpy stand than Ike and pissed them off?
***hole!

It's not patriotic to disagree with liberalism in general, but it is patriotic to disagree with the liberal idea that we should change our culture and traditions to accommodate Muslims and foreigners. A true patriot stands up and says, "I am proud of my country the way it is and I will NEVER EVER EVER change it for anyone or anything. If you don't like our country for what it is, hit the road!"

The dumbing down of America. Can't explain ? Complain. Nothing patriotic about it but it sure suits some of the DNC Presidential hopefuls. Bash the President who is not running but his party is. Media Matters. Sad really. To debate is one thing. Some days it becomes almost like football and bring out the defensive backs to cover an opinion when you disagree on YA.

Dissent itself is patriotic and part of democracy

Disagreeing with anyone for any reason is not in itself patriotic.
