They're probably at least 2 years old... but they taste really good with my coffee. I had one last night with a New Castle... it was really good, also.

I'm eating one right now, as I type this...

I lost my self-control in the war... help.

Keep a box of Lindt chocolates next to the tree. Who's gonna eat a candy cane when u have those goodies near by.

Try not to walk by the Christmas tree or take down the candy canes.

trust me, it's hard not to give in. but i'd try to picture this: in a couple years, there won't be any. so, buy a pack of candy canes, and for every 2 days you don't eat one off the tree, have one from the pack. if you eat one, you use your will to skip candy canes for a week. i have the same problem with popcorn ;-)

I buy enough candy canes to eat throughout the year. Regular and mini. Sure there's Starlite mints but... really. I'm not a fan of the fruity ones but my daughter loves them.

Try limiting yourself to 2 candy canes a day.

I think the knowledge that they are 2 years old, & not fresh, would put ME off eating them. Get some fresh ones near to Christmas, & enjoy those.

I say dip them in shellac or polyeurthane, that is if you really just want to keep them as ornaments. that way you will never be tempted to eat them. On the other hand, it seems like you are enjoying them so whats the problem? you could just go buy some more at the store...

Get seperate ones to eat and hang the same ones on the tree. They'll get really old and you won't want to eat them.

The one's I put on my tree are like 10,000 years old and I would never eat them,
