Hey I am a mom with a 14 yr. old, 15 yr.old, and 17 yr. old. My kids give me gift cards to my favorite places! Maybe you could do that for your parents. I love Bath and Body works. Their dad like electronics or places like Lowe's or Home Depot. He also love gifts cards for free car washes because he loves cars. I also like-correction LOVE shoes- so they give gift cards for shoes store that I go to. Or maybe you could give them gift cards to their favorite restaurants. Hey, I hope this helps you! Merry Christmas!

Since you are new to them how about a "gift card" to a store they can select exactly what they like and you don't have to go through the hassle. You mentioned they are on a strict diet too so that makes it more complicated....Grocery stores also carry nice baskets from their produce section check them out if you cannot make up your mind. Fruit is always welcomed. With the economy the way it is no one expects an expensive gift. It's the thought that counts. Best wishes and happy holidays, Mama Jazzy Geri

For parents think about what they like, are they into any hobbies?
My mum really likes her knitting so I went to the shop that sold all that sort of stuff and assked the lady there.
I also got her things like scarfs, smelly stuff in the past. If you look for slightly unusual stuff that is in ur price range then go for it.
Dads like things like cufflinks, tie pins (just don't buy socks).
Though I found when I was on a budget the best thing to do was to buy them a present for both of them, that way you can get a better gift. Things I have bought are food things they may like, bottles of wine (I got someone to help me with this one, might not be legal in the states to buy booze for a minor to give as a present).

If you have younger siblings give them a gift certificate made by yourself for babysitting and 2 gift certificates to the movies.
Gift Cards to Tim Hortons/ Star Bucks
Aqua massage certificate
Find a picture of you and your siblings and get it put on a Christmas Ordament at Walmart Photo Centre

Gift certificate for a hairdresser, can be used by either parent. $15 is a humble but useful amount. A bureau topper, lined for watches, or coins, ( I found one in an Avon booklet) is also $15. I believe a coin or piggy bank, drawstring bag for shoes could go to either parent.
A hand mirror for an empty nester lets them know you're thinking of them (in case yer reading this but are a bit older.)

You should get them something that you know they like and shows you care about them!
Something like Bath and Body works or hand cream for your mother and maybe a tool box for dad. You should also make a cute card and maybe even decorate the house, cook or make something homemade

go to snap-fish.com and have a custom made item with a photo of the family or all the kids on it. If you can't do it that way go to a shop where they make customizable things like that.

for your mom, go to the body shop and get her some nice smelling lotions. My mom always loves that when i get it. And for your dad, get him something that he likes. Like if he likes to paint, then get him a notebook that he can take and carry with. Or if he likes football, get him a new football.
