I think they should shut him down too. I want to say because of the injury alone, but if his own staf/doctors thinks he can play, maybe the injury actually wont haunt him in the future. However, I think they should still rest him; if not to have him 100% for next season, or to loose games and have a higher draft pick, then at least to let Chester taylor show off that he is a very good back so it can raise his trade value.
Defense is young and talented and with Ap, use picks/Taylor to bring in some more help. They should pursue Derek Anderson next year, he's a FA and Im pretty sure Browns will want to start Quinn.

Even if they made the playoffs they would not go very far. I would shut him down and use Chester Taylor for the rest of the season to allow Peterson to heal properly. If the season goes sour and he gets hurt even further it would not be worth it. He should heal properly and if the Vikings tank without him atleast they will get a could pick in the NFL Draft to get some defensive players.

definite the William wall is sturdy, yet going up antagonistic to the Eagles run protection, Adrian may have a frustrating time. If it weren't for the 60+ sprint antagonistic to the Giants, he might want to have decrease than one hundred yards. If AP and the crew carry on to the ball, they could win this. T. Jackson also has to step up even if if the Eagles are giving him diverse looks. contained eventually, turnovers will both make or damage the Vikes. wish they improve to the subsequent round. They already beat the Panthers once.

Of course not! the only thing the vikings have is there defence and peterson!they take him out. they pretty much take themselves out of their division. it would be very dumb for them to keep him out the rest of the year. you are correct on hes the future of the franchise but. why risk it? maybe he's leaving next year?

I agree with your point. At the same time though, regardless if when Peterson plays again, he can possibly get injuried again whether his knee is 85% or 100% healed.

Dallas fan:
i think they should be careful with him and not rush him back since he is the future for them. but if he is good to go they should let him play if they think they have a shot for the playoffs or if he has a shot for the rushing title and or rookie of the year.

only if doctors say hes at risk of bad injury. they can still make the playoffs so they need him. shutting him down if he doesnt need it is a waste of one of his seasons. remember, running backs have short careers.
