Hi am an American service member living in Germany. Last summer I discovered that some of my shoes had mildew in them. (new shoes) I took them out cleaned them and left them out. Later I found some of my clothes as well were mildew. Can some one tell me how to get rid of this problem??? I have Asthma and it bothers me a lot. My schrank is next to an outside wall, there is nothing wet inside or damp. Please help me. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

First--thanks for your time served--I do apperciate it. Deeply. Well--you said "no dampness" What are they stored in--trunks?? try smelling the inside of the trunks. Sometimes inside of the trunk has odor and hard to get rid of. Try putting some dryer sheets inside when packing--if you can tolerate that smell. Or air freshening thingies. Not good wording but hope you get the meaning. Good luck

Mildew usually comes from some sort of dampness, Maybe open the closet door and run a fan, one of the small ones to keep air circulating..........GOD BLESS.......AND THANKS.!
