What's better than speed, stamina, and flexibility?

If you're looking for a good offensive or defensive attack to level the playing field, then go for the obvious -- the testicles. It's the first answer that pops into mind for a reason.
Another good one is the nose. A straight punch to the nose guaranteed to make anybody's eyes water, impairing their vision.

Other Achilles Heel's
- Kidneys
- Stomach
- Eyes
- If in a headlock, pinch the back of the legs as hard as you can. Also, don't be afraid to fight dirty and grab his jewels.
- Lean in towards a punch.
- If he gets a hold of your hair, smash his hand down onto your head instead of trying to pull his hand off or to save your hair.
- A kick to the right part of a person's shin takes minimal strength to break the bone.

That's all I can think of for now.

Smart people don't fight, they talk. Smart people don't fight other people that are bigger than they are. You'll always find someone bigger than you are; always find someone that knows more than you do, and what works on one person won't work on another - so it's really best NOT to fight. In this day and age there is no such thing as hand-to-hand combat. In downtown areas (which you shouldn't be in) you typically have some guy come over and clock you when you're not looking. How do you defend that? In more gang cities, usually someone will be carrying a knife or gun.

The only hand-to-hand combat situations you'll be facing will be if you go to the Police Academy or some kind of military training.

Confidence, common sense and unimpaired thinking is the best defense for any situation. Having said that, I do feel like I should answer your question however.

Speed in delivery is key. If you are facing someone who cannot be talked out of their stupidity, and for some reason you cannot flee, you must defend yourself. Generally, all males lack muscle in their necks, groins and their arm pits. The best manuever is to HIT and back away or escape. If the threat persists, HIT AGAIN, then back away. A doubled-up fist delivered in a lightening quick strike to the underarm of the bully, will hurt like heck and likely end the encounter. If it does not, it should stun him long enough for you to run away. If you need to do more to stop him, strike him with an open hand, palm facing down, up under his jaw. Deliver it in such a way that your thumb is on one side of his neck and the other 4 fingers are on the other side as you deliver the blow. This is non-lethal, but he'll feel like he's been dragged through a knot hole backwards. This should make it possible for you to escape. If still necessary, you should grab his little finger and extend it outwards until you hear him say "&^$^#@^&*%^." This is complete submission by him. Reason with him that if he persists you'll have to break his finger. He'll beg for your kind understanding and promise on his mother's good name that if you'll just let go, he'll limp on home.

DON'T PICK FIGHTS!!! YOU'LL BE SORRY!
Good luck. Be a nice guy. Don't do stupid things!

Any good martial arts training. I am bothered by the number of times we hear of a wife being killed when a little training in martial arts could have prevented that - The wives of Scot Petterson and Steven Grant to name just two which come to mind.

Well, the good old kick in the fork does the trick. Also, the throat is vulnerable. If you can land a good shot to his throat he'll go down no matter how big he is. Be careful though, you can kill someone that way.
