Santana has proved to be a head-case the last couple years, I think that he'll be a much better pitcher with a change of scenery.

The rest of your analysis is dead-on. The Angels are giving up a ton to land Miggy, but you have to give talent to get talent and third-base is a big hole right now. Cabrera would add a legit power threat behind Vlady and he is a great pure hitter. He's still super young and will only get better, assuming he keeps his weight issues under control.

With Vlady getting older and more banged up, Cabrera could be a legit replacement in the lineup once Vlady walks away. The Angels also benefit from having a very, VERY deep farm system and the coffers to make more moves to supplment any losses.

Chone Figgins could step in at 2B if need be and the team is high on some prospects at SS, plus there is still the option to make a play for Tejada since the Orioles' Andy McPhail seems to be in serious rebuilding mode and he is ready and willing to trade off his biggest chips.

relies upon on what you go with. in case you need to apply some wins and saves, and you're sturdy interior the potential and AVG catagory, then decide for it. Nathan is gonna get you a minimal of 35 saves, and Wang is gonna get 14-18 wins. As for Atkins, he's a purchase low guy. he's beginning off sluggish and beneficial to breakout every time quickly. in case you certainly choose a starter, make a counter furnish, and take out Wang for a extra applicable pitcher. Wang isn't gonna assist you to in strikeouts or WHIP. while you're interior the ideal of your standings, stay positioned. do no longer commerce till you need to. yet once you need to truly use some pitching, do it yet with a diverse beginning pitching (as a replace of Wang)

I'm more mad that once again the Dodgers didnt make a serious attempt to get this guy. They need a big bat in the lineup, and we could gotten him for less than what the Angels gave up.

I wouldn't trade Kendrick- he kid can hit. He will be a future batting title winner and he has a little pop. I see him as being the top second basemen of the futture, so I wouldn't trade Kendrick

The Angels are willing to do something like that and that is why they are the front runner to get Cabrera.
