If either of em can keep up the stats they've put up since Arenas' injury all season... then I think they can get some MVP talk. However... I HIGHLY doubt that they can keep this up.
But overall...30 ppg and 14 rpg is definitely MVP material. Same with 33 ppg, 8 rpg, 7 apg, 4 spg.
But there's almost no chance that they can put those up for season averages. Especially since Arenas is expected back in 2-3 months.
I expect Jamison to get about 23 ppg and 10 rpg for season averages. Butler? Maybe 23 ppg, 8 reb, 3 apg, and 2 spg. And I dont expect either of em to win MVP with those numbers... especially if Washington stays this mediocre.
The only way Jamison or Butler can win MVP this season is if the Wizards become a league powerhouse, with like 50-60 wins or something. With that said, I really like both players, especially with Arenas out... but they arent MVP material...

Even though I am from the DC area and a fan of the wizards, I don't think either Caron or Antawn can win the MVP. MVP are usually chosen among the top tier team in the NBA. Unless there's a spectacular turnaround for the wizards, they are barely a playoff team. In addition, even though their current stats are MVP caliber stats, they won't last, especially after the return of Gilbert.

In all honesty, if Wade or Bosh is going down, Lebron could nevertheless ead the warmth to a extra advantageous checklist than the Knicks. Lebron became into like 9-a million without Wade final 12 months and that they gained pretty much 2 playoff rounds without Bosh (it is in the previous they have been given Allen or Birdman). So this "take out the famous guy or woman participant and notice who's team is extra advantageous" bullsh*t is over simplifying issues. additionally, you act like Melo is carrying some extensive burden for the Knicks, all he has to do is shoot, like hes completed his entire occupation. he's not the communities superb rebounder, superb defender or commonplace play maker like Lebron is. Lebron is likewise a extra dominant scorer than Melo who lives and dies by using his leap shot. base line is Lebron has had between the excellent individual and team seasons of all time. He meets all standards for MVP and may be a rattling close to unanimous winner.

No, if Lebron James remains healthy he may average close to a triple double this year as well as Baron Davis who when he's on is in another world.

no there is no way. the mvp award is voted on by the fans, who will always stick to the lebron james, kobe bryant type players giving only those players and no one else a chance to win mvp.

at lot will have to do with their record as a team. the wiz arent one of the elite teams yet, so i doubt either of them even get mentioned as an mvp candidate.

Not going to happen because they are not going to win!
Also, everything they are doing, is being done by LeBron, who's doing it by himself, and also is winning games.
