Democrats do attack the G.O.P., Right now they're more focused on other issues though(for e.g. winning the Democratic nomination).
I also need to point out that the G.O.P. isn't the enemy of America. I think their are definitely very questionable aspects of the party but reducing them to the status of enemy closes your mind to any possible positives that may come out of the party. Vilifying republicans also leads to the idea that democrats are some how the heroes through all this and in many cases that is simply not the case.

What rock did you crawl out from underneath?? They all lie, any Democrat that says they will pull out the military form Iraq is lying, we can not afford to as a country, we made the mess, if we leave, we will be hated more so by other countries than we are now.
The only enemies of America I know are illegals and the ignorant American citizens whom follow the dangled carrot of false promises of leaving Iraq and universal health care. There is a thing called pros and cons, they are boasting the pros but leave out the cons to these topics. Although I will agree 100% that the reasons for the Iraq war was not found completly justified, however, it has kept the terrorist in the middle east and not here and removed a sick human in Saddam for his reign of terror.
Our government's job is to protect and serve, not support us. Our country was built by the people and for the people, we lose more freedom of individualality by giving the government more power and responsibility. Our government's track record of managing money for the people in public affairs has been piss poor. Look at social security or medicare for examples, so how can one expect that universal health care to be any different, and futher more, I have yet to hear how they propose to pay for it. Their is a reason we have the best health care facilities in the world and it isn't because the government is envolved. The problem in affording health care is the abuse it is recieving from illegal immigrants. The only thing the government should do is pass a law that medicine and services should be charged no more here in the US as the companies allow in other countries. We should seek equality and accountability and not free handouts, because we pay for it one way or the other.

Are you still dropping the LSD you have left over from the 60's? The democrats are one huge attack machine. They also have the "main stream" media perform their dirty deeds, so they won't get their pristine (cough-cough) hands dirty. When was the last time you heard a prominent lib give a speech in which they DID NOT attack the GOP in general, the president and GOP candidates specifically?

I think its smart for the democrats not to attack the GOP since its separates them and shows that they will not dignify the acts of the GOP.
Take into consideration what Fox news is doing, even criticizing AL gore for winning the Nobel! Because of the attacks the GOP makes against the Democrats, I think the wider support base leans towards the democrats for change.

Democrats stand for integrity and feel they are above having to attack others to gain populairty.
Look at what happened when Bill Richardson interjected to Obama and Kerry trying to bash on Clinton.
where REPUBLICANS are a win at alll cost party..
democrats try...TRY I say, to uphold a certain amount or respect for their own party and even for republicans..and act in the dignified manner that public servants should.
Republicans somehow claim they never got that memo..on how to conduct themselves with pride and integrity--so they bash even eachother toget to the top.

Negative ads are an unfortunate part of campaigning. Each party does it, including Democrats.

a better question to ask is why don't the democrats tell us how they stand on the important issues and not change thier stance every time there's another poll.

Do your ears work? In most of the early debates the name of George Bush and his admin. was mentioned and slandered more times than anything else. As if he was going to run again.
