You bet your sweet bippie! The only thing i pay for is a driver's license and $18 a month for gas for my 1956 Cushman "Eagle" motor scooter. With a Briggs & Straton 5 hp engine.
I live on a 67ft. Catamaran. Twin 27hp. diesel engines. twin 5kw diesel generators, Both run on biofuel. Which I process myself. [it's free from restraurants]. I'm anchored off of Key West,Fla. I fish off of my boat. Grow vegatables on an island 75 ft. away with some other prepared boaters. Money in the bank. Work my own hours.
Yes...life is good no matter, what the economy does.

It's sure is a bountiful time...depending on who you ask though (If you're Halliburton, Big Oil or Blackwater I'd say "Yes").

Not sure it's been all that great to those whose homes are in foreclosure, up 94% from last year.

Or the families of troops killed as 2007 became the deadliest year for U.S. troops in Iraq.

Or the 25% of Vets that come back home and are homeless:

As far as NOT getting attacked. That's the President's job, should I give him a cookie for doing his job? Should I therefore be upset that we WERE attacked while he led us?

Honor and Dignity back in the White house? Those words might be too big for you, I suggest you look them up.

At whose expense?

100's of millions of your fellow human beings are suffering in part because of American greed and the involvement of the Elite to lord over the less fortunate!

Sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for but your rose colored glasses need to be recalibrated to 20/20!

And how do you consider a President and an administration that is more suspected of corruption than any other before them honorable and diginified?

The greenback is falling like a rock.

China now owns the USA.

America's international profile is at an all-time low.

There are 20 million illegals living in the US... and that number is rapidly rising.

American civil liberties are still eroded and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

America remains one of the most violent, racist and politically divided nations on Earth.

etc.

Yup... "pretty great"!

Are you a paid propagandist or is it just a hobby? I 'd say you're being paid, because no rational person could actually believe the part about dignity being restored to the White House.

How right you are, but there's always the "yeah, but things could be better" crowd who don't like to admit it. If you list 100 things that we should be thankful for someone will reply with, "some children go to bed hungry", "some old people can't live off social security", "not everyone has adequate healthcare insurance", "so & so group is still victimized by the rich", and on and on. There's no utopia this side of heaven.

Brian 241 - Honor & dignity restored in the White House??
BJs in the Oval Office and theft of furniture? Rooms for rent? Uh huh...

The Democrats elected to Congress in 2006 have not had enough time to screw anything up except the price of Gasoline and the value of the dollar.

Wait until next year.
