I was talking to a nurse and said the baby was kicking me and she said it was good and angry then. I thought babies just kick. Are there emotions attached to kicking?

I think she was just trying to be funny! The babies kick because they can, because they want to switch positions, etc. I've never heard of kicks being related to an emotion

I think that the nurse was either superstitous or joking. I'm sure that babys feel emotions in the womb but kicking generally means that they are just getting their excersize. Your baby might be on the hyper side. Consider cutting way back on caffeine and sugar.

Well when you think of it, if you put something cold against your belly your baby will either kick at it or move away to get away from it...they are showing discomfort then. But, kicks are good, because it shows you that your baby is healthy and developing.

Babies have emotions I'm sure, but all babies kick. Thats just the way it goes.

stupid nurse, babies don't kick because they are angry! they do it just to do it, sometimes they'll kick if they are frustrated and need you to eat or if you are in a bad position for them and want you to move so they are more comfortable or you may possibly be laying in a way that is blocking off the artery or whatever it is

Sometimes they kick if they don't like what you are eating. Usually it just means they are awake and active. It is a good sign they are healthy. Just watch out for the strong ones-they hurt!

Don't listen to her she is stupid or crazy , and further more tell her your anger and would like a new nurse some people will say anything to get a reaction.

im aunt was loving spicey foods but when Gracie in her belly she was not ... she said that Gracie kicked when she would it ( well just seemed to be more active )... it was funny when we went out to eat.

Well if that means they are angry then i have one pissed off baby in there! lol I don't think it means that at all.
