My family and I have the tradition that we bake cookies every year: chocolate chip, white chocolate, sugar, and black walnut. What about you?

going to the tree farm, decorating the tree and the house. we also bake cookies the week before Christmas. my father and I take the train downtown to look at the lights and stop by the Park shops, also we go to the Galleria every Christmas.

let's see...we bake cookies for santa.....
i spend half the night wrapping the last few presents...placing them under the tree...i get maybe two hours sleep before the kids are up and opening presents...then we spend the next 4 hours opening toys..and puting batteries in them..and at least one trip to the convenience store for batteries when we run out....the kids play with everything....we have a big lunch..and then we all take a nap.

I make a Dutch pastry that my mom used to bake and we have it Christmas morning..its a favorite here. We also buy a special ornament to add to the tree each year...something special from that year...makes it fun to decorate the tree and remember why each ornament chosen!!

One night real soon we will all gather in the kitchen and make 10 pounds of fudge. It is not an easy task yet the whole family will make sure to be there that night.

We go to my aunts where there will be around 30 people so my two uncle Johnny's and I hide out in the garage drinking beer and passing joints by the wood stove.
