While working with a client on a holiday letter, we discussed the idea of having a contest for the worst gifts received. You can read more about it at www.WhatNotToGive.com and maybe win a prize for sumitting one there as well, but I'd love to hear your stories here, the more detail the better. You can send me a message if you'd like to talk or have pictures of some of the items. Thanks for sharing. Encourage your friends to answer this one. My wife and I have had some great laughs already this season!

I got dress socks one year in my stocking. They were two sizes too small. Another year I got a Bratz toothbrush for little kids. I hate Bratz. Another year, I kept asking for a cell-phone. It was all I wanted and all I talked about. Christmas morning, I pulled a cell-phone out of my stocking. I was so happy, I had a huge grin on my face. I exclaimed "A cell-" and my finger hit a button. The phone said in an extremely snobby voice "Operater, I love you." It was a toy! My face fell and my mom (she got it for me) started laughing hysterically. That was so mean. Now I know to specify when I ask for something.

I can`t wait to check that out. I have not had any really bad gifts, I think any gift is better than not to be remembered at all on the holidays.
