Economic retaliation from Mexico is a real threat if U.S. lawmakers repeal a provision that allows Mexican truckers access to the U.S. interior, according to former Congressman.

Their illegal aliens in the US could go on strike and shut down the businesses that illegally hired them.

As I understand it, the change was very minor.

If memory serves, Mexican trucks used to unload their stuff at the border and load it all onto American trucks to cross the borders. The only change made was that Mexican trucks are now inspected and allowed to cross.

So if there is any retaliation by Mexico, Mexicans will be hurt the most because we can take our business elsewhere more easily than they can.

(Liberals will need therapy, but the rest of us will be okay.)

If we stop the Mex trucks from crossing the border, then Calderon will shut off the oil? [Damn, that must hurt when you shot yourself in the foot.]
So the U.S. responds with canceling NAFTA, and makes it illigal to ship anything manufactured in Mexico.
The big loser. Mexico!
checkmate!

Ring,Ring,. Man what a hell of a dream.

You know what the U.S. Congress and the President will do. FOLD LIKE A CHEAP SUIT !!

Edit: oh,ya. Send all illegal aliens back across the border. Ya Right.

Stop the supply of everything that is produced in mexico, which would hit the economy pretty hard until production is moved to China, which may not be real easy considering our current relations.
If you haven't noticed, most of those trucks are transporting products produced and sold by American corporations.

Why would we be blocking the trucks. Is there a problem with the program? If so I haven't seen any press on it. The only ones that were hurt were the teamsters who have no problem with the Canadian drivers going all over the country.

It could get bad, really. These people have no respect for our country, or its laws and are living on the edge of desperation already. There is no limit to what they could do. They are making our lives a living hell, now. Economic terrorism is the least of what we could have to worry about.

Mexico could retaliate by withholding truckloads of refried beans, rice, tortillas, cocaine, heroine, and pot!.. It could even stop people from sneaking across our border and leaching off our government and off the taxpayers!
THINK of the consequences people!!!
This was an easy question to answer.

not allow Us companies to use cheap labor in Mexico, which will bring the jobs here and more illegals with them...just be a shorter drive for the trucks...

They would refuse to cross the border illegally, and they would all return to Mexico, that would teach us.

Close down all the home depots so they will not have anywhere to hang anymore.
