Not only has Obama, but so has Bush and many other higher ups. So what's the big deal?

Almost everyone experiments at sometime in their life. It is completely normal. And it is okay to talk about it as well. We need to stop being so taboo about illegal drugs.

When it comes down to it, if we truly live in a free society, people should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm another person or sentient being. This includes smoking cigarettes in your own home, as well as drinking, smoking pot, and any other drug for that matter.

Whose business is it to tell others what they can or cannot do in the privacy of their own homes?

It is well known that alcohol and tobacco are much more harmful to the individual than marijuana. Alcohol kills more people per year than crack, coke, and heroin COMBINED. But smoking cigarettes and drinking are okay in our society because they are taxed, so the government gets paid.

Marijuana on the other hand, is a plant that, and if it were legal, anyone could produce themselves, so the government wouldn't be able to tax and control it. That is the only reason marijuana is illegal. It has nothing to do with the health effects, as marijuana has never been directly responsible for a single death ever. It is non-toxic, has well documented medicinal benefits, and the hemp plant can be used for thousands of different purposes.

dont think it could be considered a normal standard but I think if you polled most adults under the age of 65 you would find that the majority had tried an illegal drug at least once in their life. Experimentation is what people seem to do when they are in their teens and early twenties which includes drugs, sex and other risky behaviors. Most responsible adults mature past this stage and it usually causes no lasting harm.

I guess it is - your current pres was a big coke head - and likely still is, based on his incoherent speech paterns and psychotic delusions.

the same people that claim its ok are the same hypocrites that attacked Bush for using coke.

To dems drug use is only acceptable if done by democrats.

" I smoked pot but didnt inhale"

Only a biased democrat or a brain dead idiot believed that idiotic line.
