i dreamt that my father and i were held up by a gang. one of the gang members began by speaking in some kind of tongue, and then he took out a sharp cross and stabbed my father in the head with the cross. i was watching, quite calmly as the blood ran down his head and into his eyes.
my parents have recently split and the divorce was extremly messy, the divorce left my brother and i alone with my mother, with no communication with my father. I am 17 and i have no idea what this dream could mean.
When i woke up i was not afraid or upset about my experience. why?

Dreams are just dreams, and different people react differently to their dreams. When you woke up you were not afraid or upset- maybe because you knew that it was a dream. I doubt if that sort of thing happened in real life you wouldn't be afraid of upset, so if that's what you're worried about than in my opinion you shouldn't be at all. Silly thinking.
