Not sure about the President....but Eleanor Roosevelt carried one. It was her body guard....not a hired person.

Sounds like Teddy to me. And Eleanor was a very good president I think, along with Nancy and Barbara. Hillary, Pat and Mamie weren't much. I seem to be an opinionated person.

I know that Teddy Roosevelt had one he kept in the nightstand. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't have one strapped on
